用英语讲好中国故事

大家好！我是四年级五班的何嘉怡，我喜欢英语也喜欢阅读，因为书能使我懂得做人的道理，通过读书，我知道了什么是善良，什么是丑恶。书，是人类进步的阶梯！

我们都知道老虎是森林之王，它凶猛威武，可是今天它却被一只小小的狐狸给骗了……我为老虎的无知感到悲哀，同时也觉得狐狸在危机时刻，急中生智救自己于危难之中，的确很聪明。但是像狐狸一样欺骗别人而逞强耍小聪明，我相信最终没有好结果。而像老虎一样没有足够自信心的人，最后也可能一事无成。大家不要做狐狸和老虎这样的人，做任何事都要脚踏实地，诚实、谦虚，还要有自信心，这样才能最终成为真正的王者。

The story is about The Fox and The Tiger.

这个故事叫《狐假虎威》

Long long ago, there was a fox.

很久很久以前，有一只狐狸

One day, he met a tiger.

有一天，它遇见了一只老虎

Tiger showed his teeth and stretched out his claws.

老虎亮出了它的尖牙，伸出了它的利爪

It looked like the tiger wanted to eat the fox.

看起来，老虎马上就要把它吃掉了！

But the fox wasn’t scared at all,

但是狐狸一点也不害怕

He said: "My dear sir, you are not the only king of beasts,

它说：我亲爱的先生，你并不是唯一的万兽之王

your courage does not compare with my own 

您那威风远不及我

Let' s walk together, and you keep behind me.

要不咱们出去溜一圈，你就跟在我后面

And if people won't fear me when they see me,

如果人们看到我一点都不害怕

then you can do whatever you want”

那要杀要剐随你便

The tiger said yes, So the fox led him along the street.

老虎同意了，于是狐狸带路走上了街

All the travelers, when they saw the tiger in the distance,

所有的行人远远地看到了老虎

were all frightened and ran way.

全都吓得逃走了

Then the fox said: “How about it?”

狐狸说：怎样？

The tiger drew in his tail and ran away,

老虎缩回了它的尾巴，逃走了

He believed that all people were afraid of the fox,

它深信不疑地认为人们害怕狐狸

but he had not noticed that the fox had borrowed the terror from him.

而它不知道的是，狐狸仅仅只是假借了老虎的威风
